This Russian dolls set is of a traditional Matryoshka shape and has the most beautiful, bright
and vivid combination of colours. The pretty face with big blue
eyes, long eyelashes and rosy cheeks is very kind and well painted.
The dolls are all dressed in stunning bright clothes beautifully
decorated in authentic patters. The golden patterns have shiny raised
effect, which gives the dress a sense of volume. Carefully painted
patterns continue to the back of the dolls as well. All in all this
is a gorgeous set of Russian dolls in very rich colours which can
please anybody’s eye.
The size of the biggest doll is approx. 17 cm (approx. 6.8 inches),
varnish finish. Moulds made from Linden tree, and the high quality
wood had to mature for two years before being made into moulds by
a Russian wood turner in the village near Polkhov Maidan, Russia
This set of Russian Matryoshka dolls arrived to us directly from
the artist working in the very heart of the Matryoshka region of
Russia, Sergiev Posad. It has its unique original authentic feel.
This is one of those sets, which are not a result of mass production.
It has been lovingly created by a talent of an individual artist
who adores her craft. You can see and feel that in every carefully
painted detail of these gorgeous dolls.

and differences between those pictured on our website and the ones
you will receive. Every doll is unique as artists tend to add something
different to each and every doll set they paint. That’s why Russian
dolls are somehow a reflection of a mood of the artist painting
it in that particular moment. Russian dolls, as in life itself, may
have their own features, characters, colours and moods and can be
truly unique to you.
All our Russian dolls are hollow inside (apart from the last, smallest
doll of each set), they all open in half and fit inside each other.
