We have a limited amount of damaged sets and factory seconds
that are available for those Russian Dolls - Looking for a bargain. We do sometimes
receive dolls that have been damaged during their long journey from
their motherland of Russia. The cracks tend to be on the upper half
of the main doll.
The damage is not always noticable and nearly always occurs on
the largest doll in a set, with the internal dolls usually being
OK. This means that you could buy a damaged 7 piece set, throw away
the outside one, and use it as a 6 piece set, or a damaged 6 bought
as a 5. If the dolls are for display purposes, then the cracks or
marks may not even be noticed by the casual observer, but if they
are to be played with then the cracks will obviously be more evident.
Unfortunately, we are not able to photograph every single doll
that we put forward as a second, so we have included some pictures
to give you an indication of the most typical damage that occurs
and will give you an indication of what you might expect to receive.
