Very pretty and beautifully handcrafted 5-piece set of Authentic
Russian Dolls (Flowers, Strawberries and Leaves)
The size of the biggest doll is approx. 17 cm (approx. 6.8 inches),
with a varnish finish. Materials used: Linden tree moulds, gouache
paint and varnish.
This set of Russian Matryoshka dolls arrived to us directly from
the artists working in the very heart of the Matryoshka region of
Russia, Sergiev Posad. It has its unique original authentic feel.
The set is of a traditional Russian Matryoshka doll shape and has
the most beautiful and warm combination of colours. There are little
strawberries pictured in the center of the dolls with green and
golden leaves and other patterns around. The head is also beautifully
decorated with pretty faces. The dolls have very warm feel to them
as the colours and patterns used bring out the warmth of the wood.
As all our Russian dolls are hand painted by artists there may be variations
and differences between those pictured on our website and the ones
you will receive. Every doll is unique as artists tend to add something
different to each and every doll set they paint. That’s why Russian
dolls are somehow a reflection of a mood of the artist painting
it in that particular moment. Russian dolls, as in life itself, may
have their own features, characters, colours and moods and can be
truly unique to you.
All our Russian dolls are hollow inside (apart from the last, smallest
doll of each set), they all open in half and fit inside each other.
Please note that there may be some bright spots on the pictures of some Russian dolls on our website, resulting from photo camera flash and
lights. The actual Russian dolls that you will receive will not
have any of those spots.
