This is a wooden figurine of a Hare from our “Paint it Yourself”
collection. The size of this Hare is 6 cm (2.4 inches)
The base model for this piece is made of Russian Linden wood and
is ready to be decorated. Decorating your own animal doll can be
great fun for adults and kids alike.
You may want to draw outline patterns with a pencil first and you
can then use any paint appropriate to be applied to wood (gouache,
water based acrylic paint, oil paint). Apply the paint evenly and
let it dry. You may want to decorate it in stages, smaller sections
first, let them dry and then paint other sections. If decorating
together with small children it may be a good idea to help them
decorate smaller sections of your patterns. After the paint is completely
dry (refer to manufacture’s recommendations with regards to proper
timing), varnish should be applied to give your masterpiece a good
protection and shiny finish. It is always better to apply several
layers of varnish for the best results.
