| These Russian dolls really are something quite special. Even
though we are used to seeing all manner of dolls as part of our
business, we were simply amazed at these little treasures and couldn't
wait to show them off in our store. They are of a completely different
style of crafstmanship to the traditional dolls with hardly anything
painted as a flat colour. Instead the artists try to capture ever
last detail in facial expressions and clothing to make them really
stand out in any collection. It almost seems a pity to put the little
ones away, they are so special. A set to treasure for a generation.
All of the dolls are made from natural linden wood from Russian
forests and are individually hand painted by artists. Becuase of
this, there may be variations and differences between those pictured
on our website and the ones you will receive. Every doll is unique
as artists tend to add something different to each and every doll
set they paint.
All our Russian dolls are hollow inside (apart from the last, smallest
doll of each set), they all open in half and fit inside each other.
Please note that there may be some bright spots on the pictures
of some Russian dolls on our website, resulting from photo camera
flash and lights. The actual Russian dolls that you will receive
will not have any of those spots.
