Most people will be unaware of the history and quality of Russian
watches. Russian watches are certainly not as well known as Swiss
watches, yet their popularity is growing around the world as highly
distinguished and respected Russian brands become better distributed
and more widely available.

Russia is by no means new to watchmaking. It has a rich history
of manufacturing mechanical watches that dates back more than eighty
years. Some models are second world war designs that are still being
manufactured to this day. Most Russian watches use mechanical jeweled
movements (not quartz), yet are priced at a fraction of similar
western designer watches. Knowledgable watchbuyers consider this
to be outstanding value for a quality mechanical watch.
